Why You Don’t Have to Live with Arthritis

Because 54 million Americans suffer from arthritis, I see plenty of patients with this problem. More than half the people with arthritis suffer from pain and about a quarter of them have severe joint pain. So it’s no walk in the park!

The most common type of arthritis is osteoarthritis, which is the cause of so many joint replacement surgeries. I want my patients to come see me when there are any signs of arthritis so that we can work together on a better, healthier future for them. It’s even better when they see me regularly for corrective care and then maintenance care so they can avoid arthritis altogether. They may not realize that they can not only experience relief from the pain of arthritis but they may also be able to heal these painful areas.

The Cause of Arthritis

Arthritis is caused when your spine is out of alignment for a long time. Poor alignment in the back or neck can cause poor posture or crookedness when you sit, stand or walk. This leads to stress on certain joints. Any time some joints are poorly aligned, there is more friction and irritation within many of the body’s joints.

Over time, arthritis will begin to take over the misaligned joint and the person will then start to experience a limited range of motion. Along with limited movement will come pain.

Keeping your spine and neck properly aligned prevents this persistent irritation of joints in backs, necks, shoulders, arms and more. Thus arthritis is less likely to get started.

Care for Arthritis

If your body has started to develop arthritis in your joints, chiropractic care is the right place to start caring for it. At my office, we offer chiropractic care to get the joints moving and Pressure Point Therapy to relieve tight knots of pain that may accompany arthritis. When these tight knots are relieved, you are very likely to feel more like you can move freely. That’s why I recommend getting a Pressure Point Therapy Treatment with every adjustment. I know it helps relieve your pain quicker.

With patients who have come to us for help with arthritis, we have done x-rays so we could check the level of arthritis the person had before and after their care. We can actually see the abnormal bone formations that result from arthritis being absorbed by the body. Therefore, as a result of a thorough treatment plan, we have been able to help patients recover from arthritis.

Arthritis Can Be Successfully Treated with Chiropractic Care

Yes, that’s our experience. That’s why this article is named, “You Don’t Have to Live with Arthritis.” Because you don’t. The right treatment plan can make it better and can often resolve it completely.

The key is this: don’t wait until your body is locked up with arthritic joints! See your chiropractor as soon as you see a sign of arthritis. What’s even better than that is getting maintenance care—a tuneup every month or so after you get to the point of correct alignment and correction of any underlying problems.

When you see me for maintenance care, I can start treating any structural problems as soon as they come up. That way, you receive the chiropractic care and Pressure Point Therapy treatment that you need before arthritis can limit your range of motion or start causing pain.
